What is the person value in this world of technological exuberance? How to achieve the sum of intelligences (artificial and human)?
Will the robots come to have the empathy of humans? Will they replace 100% of jobs?
What will be the role of managers and Human Resources in this era to achieve organizations of sustainable success, where talent and happiness can flourish?
These are just some of the questions we discussed in the great 5th HR Conference organized by Sylvia Taudien in Barcelona.
An event that highlighted Sophia’s stellar intervention. The most intelligent robot in the world amazed us with its intellectual brilliance, sense of humor and combination of reason and sensitivity.
As a summary of the forum I highlight these 10 key ideas that were mentioned in the some of the presentations.
#1. 85% of the jobs that will exist in 2030 are not invented yet and many of them will be more related to understanding the problems of humanity and less related to technology. The “problem understanding” is more important than the “solving problem”. Milton Ribeiro from Google.
#2. Engineers need the “man of the Renaissance” as Leonardo Da Vinci said. Milton Ribeiro from Google.
#3. We live an exciting moment. A change of era led by people, their attitudes and capabilities and not by technology as one might think. Marta the Houses of @Telefonica.
#4. We use big data to identify new skills such as: learning agility, risk management, experimentation or assumption of new technologies. Marta the Houses of @Telefonica.
#5. I believe that robots and humans can work together. @RealSophiaRobot from @hansonrobotics.
#6. Will your work be replaced by robots? At Will Robots you can assess what percentage of jobs are estimated to be at risk by technology.
#7. We need a whole society of creative explorers. The value of people is what makes them unique. Vivienne Ming.
#8. Agile is a mindset that uses methodology to achieve the change of culture and processes in order to improve the external and internal customer experience. @yusokucu from Vistaprint.
#9. Do you know your Ikigai, your reason for being? The intersection between what you love, you’re good, the world needs and you can make a living from it. That will help you live fully. Terence Hielscher from @moberries.
#10. Science and technology can not replace the ancestral spiritual and humanity values that have profoundly transformed the history of the human being. Dalai Lama.
In this forum the conversation was focused in the future, about “moonshot” (dissentive visions of the future) and also in the innovation. And at the same time it was evident that in this “hyper-tech” world, “hyper-humanism” has more meaning than ever. Put the human being in the center, enhance their curiosity and foster empathy with people in difficulties.
And all this while maintaining an open attitude and taking advantage of the extraordinary advances that technology brings in many aspects of our lives.
